From the Desk of our Principal

Dear CPE1 Families, 

I hope you and your loved ones have had a joyful, restful summer. As we head into these final days before the start of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to share how excited I am to welcome everyone back to CPE1. 

Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to meet many members of our community and learn more about what makes CPE1 so special. Through conversations with families, time spent with staff, and learning about the school's rich history, I have seen how deeply people care about this place and one another. That sense of connection is something I value tremendously, and it is one of the many reasons I am looking forward to my first school year as principal of CPE 1. 

Over the summer, there has already been so much care and preparation happening behind the scenes. Teachers and staff have spent time planning learning experiences, organizing classrooms, and creating welcoming spaces for children. Each day has reminded me of the dedication, creativity, and care that makes CPE1 such a special place. I know our students will feel that warmth the moment they walk through the doors. 

That spirit of care and connection is why I am especially excited about our Welcome Back Potluck on Tuesday, September 8 at 5:45 pm. Before the routines of the school year begin, we will have an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new families, and come together as a community. I hope you'll join us for our first gathering of the school year. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
