Dear Families,

This is a brief message about some staffing changes.  We are adding support for our 2/3 classes.

Two paraprofessionals are moving into our middle grades.  Today, Josie returned after having a baby this summer.  Josie will be working with Aishah’s class.    Today was also the final day in our school for a student Gabe has been supporting.  On Monday, Gabe will join Andrea and Grace’s class. 

This afternoon, Hansel’s students acknowledged the people leaving their class community.  The children understand that Gabe will be a short walk down the hall, and they will continue to see him every day.

Summer is the ideal time for classroom changes.  However, in this case, with more adults immediately available, we did not want to wait until next year.  We’re fortunate to have Josie and Gabe bringing new strengths to our 2/3s.
